CREATION OF PAPER PATTERNS

The fashion studio Dogali Street in Florence, Italy, creates patterns for haute couture and ready-to-wear companies.

STAGES OF CREATION

Everything starts from the garment sketch, provided to us by designers, in addition to information on the fabric (type, quality, extent) to be used.

Starting from the sketch, we manufacture and deliver the garment pattern to the customer directly in digital format or printed on paper. With the pattern the fashion house creates the garment prototype and then produces the actual clothes.

We create patterns for menswear, womenswear, and childrenswear, both in leather and fabric, as well as fur coats and accessories. We can also create patterns from an image or from garments already created.

PATTERNS AND FABRICS

We make patterns from any kind of fabric or leather. The material influences our work: depending on the type of fabric, the dress will have its special fit, and it is precisely the pattern that defines it.

For example, if we have a stationary fabric, i.e., one that does not change when it is worn (such as wool), the pattern will be larger. On the other hand, if we have a movable fabric (such as jersey), the pattern will be smaller. Also, in the case of leather clothes, we use thicker paper.
